Four properties that set the panel apart from a traditional tile wall.

One panel covers 0.72 m² — fewer seams and calmer joint lines than 30 × 60 tile.

No mortar or silicone grout across the surface. A damp cloth lifts limescale and soap film.

Carrara Bianco reads bright, classic and calm. Its fine grey veining adds structure to modern bathrooms without visually overloading the room. The decor is particularly strong with light woods, black fixtures and warm indirect lighting.
Carrara Bianco is engineered as a 60 × 120 cm large-format panel for modern rooms with clean line work. The polished marble effect surface reflects daylight, visually brightens small bathrooms, and works as a statement accent wall in living spaces. Three typical use-cases, each with notes on substrate prep and joint planning.
On a shower back wall or vanity wall, one panel replaces up to eight 30 × 60 tiles — no mortar joints, no silicone crosses. Approved for splash zones with proper sanitary silicone at every joint. Direct-glue over existing tiles when the substrate is within ±3 mm/m level.
See bathroom collectionIn a living room the Carrara veining works as a calm accent wall behind the sofa, TV cabinet or bed. Combined with light oak or greige tones it produces a Quiet Luxury look. The SPC core is dimensionally stable up to 60 °C — reliable near a fireplace or radiator.
Behind the sink and hob the few-joint surface wipes clean of grease and limescale fast — microfibre-soft, no harsh cleaners required. Scratch-resistant PU coating shrugs off pot strikes and sharp utensils. Fire class B1 per DIN 4102.
Measure, check the substrate, glue — with clear tool and time guidance for each step.
Enter width × height in the m² calculator. It outputs the number of 60 × 120 cm panels including a 10 % waste allowance.
Load-bearing, clean, level (±3 mm/m), dry. Repair loose tile, wallpaper or cracks first. Plan waterproofing in splash zones.
Full-bed MS polymer adhesive, press panels home, run sanitary silicone at floor, ceiling and outlets. Drop-Click profile holds without screws.
In a bathroom, joint length, cleaning effort and install time decide. A direct numbers comparison on the same square metre.
Carrara marble has been quarried from the mountains above the Italian port of Carrara since Roman antiquity — the same stone Michelangelo carved his David from and that holds up the columns of the Pantheon. The signature look is bright, almost bluish white with fine grey veining. Carrara Bianco is a classic white wall panel with real depth — a decorative panel that does not look mass-produced.
For a modern bathroom, real Carrara marble is rarely the right call. It is open-pored, acid-sensitive, heavy (50–70 kg/m²) and hard to retrofit. SPC wall cladding in marble effect gives you the same calm, bright presence — 4 mm thin, 7 kg/m² light, acid-resistant and approved for splash zones. Versus PVC wall panels, SPC stays dimensionally stable up to 60 °C and contains no plasticisers. Related families like stone-effect wall panels cover the rough natural look; Carrara Bianco sits at the refined, bright end of the spectrum.
The polished PU sealing is the easiest-to-care-for property of the Carrara Bianco panels. Unlike marble tiles with their mineral grout joints, large-format panels have almost no places for soap residue or limescale to settle. For daily care a soft microfibre cloth, lightly damp with clean water, is enough.
For heavier soiling, use a pH-neutral cleaner or diluted vinegar cleaner (max 1:10). Avoid abrasive milk, steel wool, aggressive acids and strong alkaline cleaners — they can attack the PU layer. In the shower, wipe down briefly with a squeegee after use; once a week wipe over with a drop of dish soap on a damp cloth.
The most common questions on installation, substrate, quantity and samples.
Yes. The SPC core is 100 % waterproof. Three things are critical: a properly waterproofed substrate (compound seal per DIN 18534), full-bed bonding with MS polymer adhesive, and sanitary silicone with anti-mould additive at every joint.
In most bathrooms, yes — installing wall panels over existing tiles is one of the most common use cases. The tiles must be firmly bonded, load-bearing, clean and flat (±3 mm/m). Tap every tile with your knuckle first: hollow-sounding or loose tiles must be removed and the gap filled with repair mortar. See our blog post "Wall panels installation — complete guide" for detailed steps.
One Carrara Bianco panel covers 0.72 m² (60 × 120 cm). The m² calculator at the top of this page takes wall width × height, adds 10 % waste and outputs the exact panel count. A typical shower back wall (2.88 m²) needs 5 panels.
Strongly recommended. Marble effects look very different depending on daylight and wall colour — Carrara Bianco on a screen reads differently from the real impression. NordPaneele ships up to three sample pieces free within 2–3 business days.
MS polymer adhesive is the standard for SPC wall panels — elastic, solvent-free and approved for splash zones. ~250–300 g/m² applied full-bed with a B3 notched trowel. Proven: Sopro MS Polymer, Soudal Fix-All High Tack, Bostik Universal Glue.
