Ardesia is engineered as a 60 × 120 cm large-format panel for modern rooms with clean line work. The polished concrete effect surface reflects daylight, visually brightens small bathrooms, and works as a statement accent wall in living spaces. Three typical use-cases, each with notes on substrate prep and joint planning.
On a shower back wall or vanity wall, one panel replaces up to eight 30 × 60 tiles — no mortar joints, no silicone crosses. Approved for splash zones with proper sanitary silicone at every joint. Direct-glue over existing tiles when the substrate is within ±3 mm/m level.

Ardesia is the darkest concrete effect in our range — not a classic fair-faced concrete but a hybrid of slate and concrete character with deep anthracite colouring. In a bathroom or living space this creates a dramatic, almost vaulted wall presence that works especially well with wood and brass.
SPC wall cladding in Ardesia concrete effect gives you exactly that depth — 4 mm thin, 7 kg/m² light, acid-resistant and approved for splash zones. Versus PVC wall panels, SPC stays dimensionally stable up to 60 °C and contains no plasticisers. Concrete-effect wall panels like Ardesia or decor panels in dark grey tones are the bold choice against the classic bright tiled wall — Ardesia sits at the darkest, most characterful end of the concrete family and delivers a real alternative to black wall panels.
The matte PU sealing is the easiest-to-care-for property of the Ardesia panels. Unlike concrete effect tiles with their mineral grout joints, large-format panels have almost no places for soap residue or limescale to settle. For daily care a soft microfibre cloth, lightly damp with clean water, is enough.
For heavier soiling, use a pH-neutral cleaner or diluted vinegar cleaner (max 1:10). Avoid abrasive milk, steel wool, aggressive acids and strong alkaline cleaners — they can attack the PU layer. In the shower, wipe down briefly with a squeegee after use; once a week wipe over with a drop of dish soap on a damp cloth.

Yes. The SPC core is 100 % waterproof. Three things are critical: a properly waterproofed substrate (compound seal per DIN 18534), full-bed bonding with MS polymer adhesive, and sanitary silicone with anti-mould additive at every joint.
In most bathrooms, yes — installing wall panels over existing tiles is one of the most common use cases. The tiles must be firmly bonded, load-bearing, clean and flat (±3 mm/m). Tap every tile with your knuckle first: hollow-sounding or loose tiles must be removed and the gap filled with repair mortar.
One Ardesia panel covers 0.72 m² (60 × 120 cm). The m² calculator at the top of this page takes wall width × height, adds 10 % waste and outputs the exact panel count. A typical shower back wall (2.88 m²) needs 5 panels.

MS polymer adhesive is the standard for SPC wall panels — elastic, solvent-free and approved for splash zones. ~250–300 g/m² applied full-bed with a B3 notched trowel. Proven: Sopro MS Polymer, Soudal Fix-All High Tack, Bostik Universal Glue.
