EU Ecodesign (ESPR) 2026: What the New Rules Mean for Wall Panels

From 2026 the EU's revised Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) applies. For interior products such as wall panels this means: durability, reparability, and recyclability become mandatory criteria.

What changes for wall panels

From 2026 manufacturers are required to maintain a Digital Product Passport per SKU, including material composition, recycled content share, CO2 footprint, repair and disposal instructions, and a tested durability statement.
